Kirit Mistry

A man of many talents who is well known in our Gujarati community is Kirit Mistry.

Kirit was born in Chikhli – Thala in India to parents, Mr. Gulabbhai Gopaldas Mistry and Mrs. Maniben Mistry.

After graduating as a Mechanical Engineer, he immigrated to Canada in 1978. Here he has worked as a draftsman designer and then a Senior Engineer.

Being a “Kalakar” he was the lead singer of a small music group, known as “Sur Sangeet”. Over the years his talent flourished. Besides being a good singer and an instrument player, he is an avid photographer and a painter. His desire is to have an art exhibition of his own paintings which may become a reality in the near future.

His current musical group “Goonjan” is very famous in and around the GTA. He has performed Bhajan Sandhya and Navrati Garba for the Panchal Samaj of Ontario, which is enjoyed by all.

Kirit has served as a committee member in the Panchal Samaj of Ontario from 1994-95. During his tenure, he served the committee dutifully.
