Senior’s outing was first inspired by our Trustee in year 2000,
Manubhai C. Panchal organised a trip to take members of Panchal
Samaj age 50 years and up to various places of worships, such as
Hindu Temples, Gurudwara and Churches.
We rented a bus in our first ever day trip with 26 members of Samaj.
We started our trip from Luxminarayan Temple to Sanathan Mandir
followed by one hour mini picnic at nearby park then to Ganesh
Temple and the trip ended at Swaminarayan Temple. All the members
present thoroughly enjoyed the trip and mentioned that we should
continue with this tradition every year in July. With this, the
tradition was started to till this day and will continue for
foreseeable future.
We are extremely pleased with our efforts to organise senior’s trip
event every year and to this day the number of participant has grown
to approximately 50 people and growing year after year.
Late Manharbhai Panchal was a true believer in taking part in
senior’s trip. His outgoing personality was always liked by all and
he will be missed dearly by all. Some Board of Directors also
volunteered to help out on senior’s trip which we are grateful for
devoting their valuable time to help out. With this success we have
managed to accomplish visiting all the temples in Greater Toronto
Area. We are receiving invitations from new temples to visit as they
become available and our goal is to visit them as we move forward to
keep the spirit of members at supreme.
We thank all the members and Board of Directors who are taking part
in making this event a successful one.
